Reservage Lift Ground Lacquer ASL1000
Water-soluble ink for use in the lift-ground technique, also called sugar-lift in gravure printing for making a printing plate on copper, steel or zinc.
Suitable both for subtle work with a fine brush and for etchings with a painterly effect with a free stroke and a wide brush.
Application:
Apply the drawing with a brush, let it dry in the air or with the help of a hair dryer and paint over it with highly diluted asphalt varnish.
Afterwards, the lift-ground coating can be rinsed away with running water and the plate can be etched after applying an aquatint or directly.
